It's difficult to enjoy the magic of Takarazuka if you don't understand a word in Japanese. Even if you study Japanese, understanding what a Japanese say it's not easy. And obviously the language used in Takarazuka is NOT modern Japanese (I don't know why, exactly, but I think they like to use historical language for historical plays, it's more ( Read more... )

Together with Roses of Versailles, Elisabeth is the most famous and beautiful Takarazuka show.

I managed to watch only three shows in Japan, and all in Takarazuka, but when I came to Tokyo in February I went to see the Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre with a friend XD
Since it was ten in the morning we waited for the irimachi of The Treasure Sword of Habsburg that we missed in Takarazuka.

I just finished watching 薔薇の封印 -ヴァンパイア・レクイエム-(The Seal of Roses - Vampire Requiem)...the plot is quite nonsense but the show is worth seeing because of the cast ^^ There are a lot of future top stars (Ayaki Nao, Kiriya Hiromu, Oozora Yuuhi).
